Necromancer by NikitaDarkstar Necromancer by NikitaDarkstar
Appereantly this is a Ritualist from Guild wars. (I at first thought it was a dervish or Necromancer, ohwell.)

It's my first serious work for 6-8 weeks something so I'm not completley happy with this but I gave up on fixing it since the biggest issue is the lightsource, which is part of the stock.. wich can't be sorted out without changing the background or utterly ruining it, thus ruining the feeling. Which also means I'm not overly motivated to sorting out the over contrasted skull in her hands.

Anyway I'm hoping to make a few more tags similar to this with minimal amounts of flashy effects, focusing more on the feeling of the tag.

Guildwars belongs to NcSoft ofcourse!

Was this an image you enhance or did from scratch? Either way, this looks awesome. Loving the detail and how the ethereal energy looks just like ethereal energy. Almost ephemeral in nature. Loving this pic. <3 Guild Wars. Miss playing. Can't wait until the new one comes out!

I enhanced it. I'm nowhere near good enough to digitally paint this from scratch, but thank you for the kind words. And the fact that you had to ask is icing on the cake for me since it means I got the effect I wanted. (Adding to the picture without it being obvious what was added and what wasn't.) :)

I wasn't sure and had to ask. The pose is something I've seen before, but the lighting, detailing, and background seemed absolutely unfamiliar. Especially the energy. The only thing that I recognized was the character and the pose. Its still a wonderful piece to look at. It looks completely different from the original scene.

That's pretty. I like that the green orb is actually almost the same color as the spirits from the game!
But yea, that is the Ritualist from Factions. ^_^
The Core professions are Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Mesmer, Elementalist, Necromancer.
Factions has the core, plus Ritualist and Assassin.
Nightfall has the core, plus Dervish and Paragon.

Well the colors match because the orb/skull area is part of the original stock, I just messed with them a little when I made this. I'm also well aware of the fact that this is not in fact one of the games necromancers (got one myself, along with a few others, but the nerco/elementtalist has always been my fave.) I just couldn't remember what this actually was at the time when I made it and it had that "necro vibe" going and I wasn't making a guild wars tag specifically, they just happened to have some art that suited my taste at the time. Ironically I ended up using another GW art for the companion of this )"Holy Warrior"), I guess NcSoft just has good art to go with their games! :p

Thanks for commenting. :)

ThanI like it though. It looks cooler than the game's necromancer.

Well then again, it's not hard to beat the games necromancer, I mean pale goth-emo with a bad posture? Come on. XD (Still a very, very fun class to play and combined terrifyingly well with the elementalist.. nuke them to death and raise them as minions ftw! XD)

I've seen people own face with necros. =^.^= In fact they usually keep me alive with the small army of minions!

They are (were since I don't play anymore) absurdly fun to play and very useful. I often ended up dragging mainly henchmen around so a small army of minions to assist them helped. Another fun combo was ranger/necro! :D
